The Women’s Challenge is a vision to creatively challenge today’s women to be healthy, enriching their lives through interactive seminars and events focused on educating women in specific areas: sexual health; physical activity; diet and nutrition; beauty concepts; financial empowerment and spiritual motivation.

Whether a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt or a niece; a healer, a provider or a caregiver, women wear many hats and take on the baggage of those they care about in their lives. Where is the time for them? By embodying areas that all women seek to improve upon, this Challenge will empower its attendees and plant the seeds of balance between family and time for themselves.

Founder & Chief Woman of Vision

LorraineBaileyCarter_headshot2_clippedI’m a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt and niece, sorority girl and real estate agent. I’m an accountant when money is low; a doctor when a loved one is in pain. Most important, I’m a woman who loves hard, gives my last, and am just trying to make my mark in this thing called “life.” I wear all those hats…and then some. Don’t you?

A native of Brooklyn, New York, I moved to an itty-bitty town of Donalsonville, Georgia as a 13 year old teenager after the passing of my Mom from of an epileptic seizure.  Three years later, my father joined her. While this life-changing experience could have kept me down, it did just the opposite. Not having a mother during my formative years nurtured my already caring spirit, sparking my philosophy, “we are our sister’s keeper!”

I started  The Women’s Challenge, Inc.  to empower all women, young or young-at-heart, as we all encounter the same struggles. Focusing on spiritual, physical, and sexual health, diet and nutrition and financial literacy, if I am able to make a positive impact in the life of one woman, I count that a success.

So, while I wear those hats I mentioned up above, when I’m not hosting quality programs though TWC, or being a full-time realtor, or serving as the State Coordinator for Home Ownership for Maryland and DC through my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I’m practicing what I preach in the gym, staying healthy and having a positive mind, body and spirit.
